Man. I'm back in San Diego. School has started. This sucks. I miss Japan. I miss not haven't to think for classes. But now, the 6 month vacation is over. Just like this picture I took of the sun setting over Tokyo... Oh, how I wish I was back there instead of here. But I do admit, the weather is so much nicer!
But it's kind of weird to think that I was gone for that long. Since I've been back, it kind of feels like nothing happened. But it is really difficult getting back into the swing of things. I'm so used to not studying... Hard habit to break.
Ben Gibbard - It'll Be a Breeze (The Long Winters cover)
I need to learn how to study quick, though because... from here on out, it will NOT be a breeze. This is going to be the roughest quarter ever. Engineering is hard... :(
Going to try to apply to grad school. Last year until reality really hits... shit.

Reality probably isn't that bad. Maybe. One can hope. :p
ReplyDeleteDon't stress too much. Supposedly engineering is like math (maybe you've already seen), which is a world of fun (or pain (but mostly fun)). Good luck!
Hey, thanks for the encouragement!
ReplyDeleteAlso, the comic is pretty funny! I think I've heard a similar joke before, but this one was pretty good...
Anyway, thanks for visiting and commenting! :)
You're welcome. I'm a math major, so I'm a little familiar with how rough it gets (but engineering is more competitive, I suppose...). Nothing quite like proofs until 3am followed by sleep full of math nightmares. :D
ReplyDeleteAlso, thank you for introducing me (via old post) to The Bird and the Bee!
Math major, eh? I was almost going to be a math major... but then I realized I do not like theoretical math. I also hate proofs... haha
ReplyDeleteBut good luck to you!
I'm glad you like The Bird and the Bee. That means this blog isn't completely useless! Haha...
Ha, I used to hate proofs. My math reasoning professor was a scruffy bum, not a respectable bearded hobo like most math professors, which didn't help what was already a boring and directionless class. Then after a year of doing difficult proofs with actual meaning in algebra and analysis classes, I got used to them and learned to appreciate the theory.
ReplyDeleteThat said, engineering and physics are awesome, especially for being relevant to the real world. :D Probably what I would be doing otherwise, and will conceivably move towards in the future, especially where they overlap with probability theory (my favorite).
Congrats on having a useful blog! :p My usual music is nearby but slightly different, so a lot of the songs you've posted about are new to me but not alienating. Also, the pictures of Japan were cool!
