On Tuesday, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report will no longer be available for streaming on Hulu. What the fuck. I've gotten so used to Hulu, and I love the whole subscription and queue thing. It's awesome! But really? Viacom didn't want to continue it's agreement with Hulu? Whatta surprise... Viacom doesn't want its content to be easily accessible to everyone. I mean, think of the copyright infringement! Fucking Sumner Redstone. Whatever. Nothing I can do about it. But I refuse to go back to watching the shows on comedycentral.com. The streaming sucked, the ads sucked even more, and the quality was not good. After reading some complaints about this whole thing, I found about about Zinc. It's a free internet television program. I downloaded and tried it out for a bit. It's not too bad... I just don't like how it won't automagically add my favorite shows to my queue. Or maybe it does; I didn't play with it for that long. One thing I noticed about Zinc is that there are some shows on there that aren't on Hulu (The Daily Show and Colbert Report, obviously, and CBS shows). Granted, the only CBS show I watch is How I Met Your Mother... Anyway, I love Hulu, but I think I will split my time between Zinc and Hulu for now... until I realize I like one better, or find something new all together. But God, I hate Viacom. Was it necessary to inconvenience me like this? They Might Be Giants - Dog on Fire (The Daily Show Theme)
Cheap Trick - Baby Mumbles (The Colbert Report Theme)
